About

The Maurice D. Hinchey Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area (NHA), which is managed by the Hudson River Valley Greenway (HRVG), seeks to support municipalities and nonprofit organizations in the development of programs and exhibits that reinforce the NHA’s mission to interpret, preserve and celebrate the nationally significant cultural and natural resources of the Hudson River Valley.

In addition to reinforcing the NHA’s mission, projects should deliver tourism and economic benefits to the communities in which they are held and encourage local and regional partnerships.

The Heritage Development Grant application is closed for 2026. Check back in October for 2027 opportunities.
